I have travelled across the length and breadth of India and I have not seen one person who is a beggar, who is a thief. Such wealth I have seen in this country, such high moral values, people of such calibre, that I do not think we would ever conquer this country, unless we break the very backbone of this nation, which is her spiritual and cultural heritage, and, therefore, I propose that we replace her old and ancient education system, her culture, for if the Indians think that all that is foreign and English is good and greater than their own, they will lose their self-esteem, their native culture and they will become what we want them, a truly dominated nation.

This is amazing! It is a pity that many of us actually realise the real power of India. This country has seen the Vedic age, the rise of Buddhism, the conquest of the Mughals, and over 200 years of European colonization. Yet her values lie untouched. Be proud to be an Indian.

However, it is beyond doubt that the political parties will have to depend on the door to door campaign and rallies to get the votes. Such online initiatives can however drive the urban educated youth (like you and me) to the election booth. Let us hope that the elections in India create as much hype on the web as it did during the US elections.

This was a post that was supposed to appear atleast a month back. So why did I delay it? It was yesterday that I realised the real meaning of His question. Okay. Confession. I am a person who keeps delaying things(eg. this post itself is a delayed one) thinking there is a tomorrow. I dream quite a lot. And now looking back I feel (know) that I wasted quite a lot of time doing nothing but planning and dreaming.

How long will you be on this planet? A few more decades? And every single day that you live will vanish like today. Life is short. Stop existing and Start Living. Wake up and see the beautiful world around you. See life in a larger perspective and do something that keeps you and the people around you happy!

But in 24-26 hours it will be back to college for me. I guess there is some really good stuff in store there. It has been 3 weeks since I went there. University lab exams (scary shit!) is coming up soon and no one knows when exactly it is going to start. Now that’s not unusual in Kerala University. Is it?

So fellow readers (if there are any, other than Hari and Jacob) please leave a comment wishing me good luck for my exams. After the exams I have even scary shit coming up - mini project. My partners in the project happen to be equally lazy as me, so it should be some fun working together.

Blogcamp was awesome. A big thanks to the team who organized it. (yes yes - I know I am a bit late :D) I bought a new portable hard disk yesterday so that I won’t be disconnected from my work. Its a Western Digital Elements 2.0 160 GB. To put it simple, it rocks! Those of you who are looking to buy one - don’t wait for another day! Its good value for money at 100$.

Abhinav secured the first individual gold medal for India at the Olympics. But as he rightly put in an interview, “India can be proud only when we secure 30-40 medals at the Games.” He went to Germany for training because there was not enough infrastructure in India. Sad. I would really love to see India play at the Football World Cup. Atleast once? Good luck to the team at Beijing.

PS: I won’t be surprised if the Congress says, “India won the first Olympic gold medal under Congress rule” for their election campaign. Now that’s another story.

Mr. S: Hello, My name is S, and I would like to get a website designed really quick

Me: Sure. Can you please fill up the project worksheet that can be downloaded from the website?

Mr. S:  I don’t have the time for that. You do it the way you want to, but it should look nice. I simply don’t have to look into such silly things.

Me: Can you explain what the website is about? How many pages and stuff?

Mr. S: I run a shop that deals with second hand cars. I need a photo gallery for sure. Like I said earlier, I don’t have the time for explaining. But I want the website up in less than 2 days time.

Me: But that’s a very tight deadline. I don’t think my studio will be able to do this on time.

Mr. S: Ok. Take 1 week then. Show me a sample next week.

Me: Okay. What is your budget for the project?

Mr. S: Money is not a problem, but you send me a sample and if I like it I will let you put your name on it.

Me: What?

Mr. S: Just think of it. The publicity that your new design studio will get because of me. People will see that you did this website and you will get lots of offers. I can pay for the domain and hosting expenses…

Me: Hmm… Sounds nice. But before that can you give me a car? I will put a sticker on the car which reads “This car was purchased from S. He rocks.” Just think of the publicity that your store will receive - maybe I will pay for the petrol…Sounds great right?

I have no clue where he went after that. This is not the first time that people asked me to design their websites for free - but this is the first time that I got such funny answers for the questions that I asked. People can be plain simple stupid at times. Weird. Keep smiling.

Welcome to the brand new version of my blog.  I got done dumped with the previous version a little while back. Version 2 is proudly powered by Wordpress. Again, like version 1 its a simple dual toned theme, which is good to your eyes. A contact form will be setup within a day or two. This time I plan to be a bit more serious about blogging. Let’s see how things go.
